Three-layer shrink wrap

Linear polyethylene and additives are introduced into the outer layers of such a film, which improve the heat sealability of the film and increase its strength, especially at sharp corners, caps and other protruding parts. To stiffen the inner layer of the film, polypropylene and special additives can be added.

Each layer of a three-layer shrink film is formed separately. Consequently, the possible defects of each layer do not coincide, and the film turns out to be 15-20% stronger than that of a single layer of the same thickness. Thus, it becomes feasible to reduce the thickness (and therefore cost) of the three-layer "heat shrinkage" without degrading its performance.  In addition, reducing the film thickness makes it possible to reduce the temperature in the thermal tunnel, which allows the user of the film to save energy.
